The Pennsylvania Game Commission is doing the
double-talk two-step again, according to the
July 20 Trib article by Gregor McGavin.
The Game Commission's latest directive is to
dispose of orphaned animals discreetly by humane
steps (shooting them or beating them to death)
unless it will draw media attention.
If you take an orphaned animal to a wildlife
conservation officer, the animal will not be
taken to a wildlife rehabilitator. It will be
destroyed.
The commission continues to follow its
kill-everything-that-moves policy.
Bobcats first, then elk. Swans will be next.
And now orphaned animals - if they can get away
with it.
